“I am excited to serve as principal to meet the expectations of our school board, but also to live as a service leader and as an instructional coach on our campus," said Smith. "I want to build relationships with our teachers, students, parents, and our community because we know for our school to grow, we have to be good partners with everyone who has a role in our school. As a principal, my goal is to both forge and nurture those relationships,” said Smith.

Her dedication to educational leadership was further evidenced by her role as an instructional coach at St. Amant High School during the 2023-24 academic year. With her wealth of experience and passion for education, Williams assumes the role of assistant principal at Lowery Middle School with enthusiasm and a commitment to student success.

"I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to be a part of the incredible work happening here in Ascension Parish. I've had the chance to explore various aspects of Lowery Middle School, and one particular sentiment resonated with me from a teacher: 'This season is our growing season at Lowery Middle School.' I wholeheartedly embrace this notion. I'm truly excited, humbled, and honored to be joining this team. Together, we will forge ahead, building, growing, and nurturing our teachers and students. I am eager to see the heights we can reach together," said Williams.
